Wide range of extension activities are conducted to sensitize the students with the relevant societal issues and to help them develop humane qualities. Thus we aim to develop rich pool of talent employable professionals with strong foundation on ethical, moral, social values helping them become responsible citizens.

The mission of our institution is to nurture the talent of the students making them self- reliant and empowering them with socio-cultural emancipation by inculcating strength, character, fortitude and self control. We also equip students with knowledge and latest skills and tools to acquire competence and quality education to face the dynamically evolving society. The aim is to achieve wholesome synergy between academic practices, social empathy, cultural, prolific activities and co-curricular responsibilities so that all stakeholders may benefit optimum potential“ To develop self-reliant, lifelong learners of 21st century.”

About the Institue

C M Dubey College was founded in the year 1956 by Late Pandit Dwarika Prasad Dubey. It was founded with the aim to spread benefits of education in this part of the country. The college was started as a coeducational institution with Commerce and Arts. The Arts Faculty was only for Girls students. It started with only 63 students. Generous donations from the members of Dubey family and others placed the college on a firm footing with a band of devoted teachers. Soon within a short span of three years the college had its own building the number of students reached to 371 by 1958. By 1961 teaching in the Science faculty had started and the growth of the students and staff was rapid. The college started imparting instructions up to the Postgraduate level in 1963 by opening, PG classes in Commerce, English, Hindi and Sanskrit. It soon became a constituent College of the Pt. Ravishankar University, Raipur. The college was affiliated to Guru Das University, Bilaspur from 1983 up to its upgradation as Central University. Now, it is affiliated with AtalVihari Vajpayee Vishvaidyalaya, Bilaspur from July 1st, 2012. In the year, 1970 MSc classes in Botany. Zoology and MA in Economics and Political Science were opened. In 1971 M.Sc. classes in Chemistry and Physics and in 1972 MA History, Geography and M.Sc. in Mathematics were added. In 1974, diploma in banking and in 1989 PG diploma in business management were started. In order to provide education in new subjects, like Computer Science and Microbiology, new building was constructed with furnished and well-equipped laboratory B.Sc. and M.Sc. courses in Computer Science and Microbiology were started in the year 1998. The college has indeed made a very rapid progress. Its students have made a mark in the University examinations. And its alumni have found honored places in society. The students have steadily grown, the college believes that the greatness of an institution lies in the ideals and objects that it stands for and which it places before students. In the words of its founder, the progress is to assessed by the quality of the education that is provided. Good education must lead to harmonious development of Personality. It has been our constant and endeavor to create an atmosphere in college conducive to the growth of Body, Mind and Spirit of all. A separate indoor Stadium having International standard badminton Court, table-tennis room, well-furnished Gym has been constructed to encourage sports activities in the college. The College has celebrated golden jubilee in the year 2006. Recently, a new building has been constructed to run new job oriented professional courses, BBA DCA and MSW. Recently we have also started vocational courses under National University student skill development program and have signed an MOU with Tata Institute of social sciences, Mumbai to run these courses. Highly qualified, academic staff members are involved in teaching theoretical, experimental subjects under the able guidance of capable administrator Dr Sanjay Singh, Principal of the college and open-minded visions of Chairman Sanjay Dubey.

Publishing a research Journal named Lee. New Frontiers of research, for the benefits of the students. It is a matter of proud for us. That nacked have accredited a grade to this college and university Grant. Commission's. New Delhi have declared C.M.. Dubey Post Graduate College having potential for excellence.
